Nepal Association for Impact Assessment (NAIA) has been established with the main objective of protection and in the interest of Impact Assessment Experts/Practitioners who are involved in Impact Assessment in Nepal. One of its objectives is to increase public awareness of nature and environmental conservation. On the occasion of World Wildlife Day 2023, NAIA is preparing a Radio Special Program. The program consists of public awareness materials on wildlife conservation and interviews with eminent persons on the impacts on wildlife due to infrastructure projects (hydropower, transmission line, highway, railway, etc). The radio program's total running time will be 15 minutes. The radio program will be broadcasted on local radio stations all over Nepal on March 3. The radio program will be also available on Podcast platforms.

Project UKALI/Third Pole Conservancy is organizing a World Wildlife Day celebration event in 13 locations in the Humla district in coordination and collaboration with local partners such as Rural Municipality, School Ecoclubs, Division Forest Office, and Local Youth Clubs. The WWD 2023 will be celebrated by organizing school-level activities such as essay competitions, quiz competitions, debate competitions, art competitions, conservation rallies, and a radio program. And a main event will be organized in district headquarter Simikot where all the district-level conservation stakeholders will be invited for their commitment and strengthening institutional partnership for wildlife conservation in Humla. The program is supported by Rolex Awards for Enterprise 2021.
